An original solution which provides an axis of rotation on the universal head geometry and one on the turntable which allows to obtain an extraordinarily large actual work field if compared to the axes races. The longitudinal axis stroke allows to remove the axis of rotation of the table from the axis ram and thus of being able to work with long tools on the side walls of the workpiece. The rotation of the table and of the head is continuous and obtained by direct drive motors (Direct Drive) that allow a high rotational speed and positioning; the absence of mechanical organs of rotation reduces maintenance and allows for high reliability and accuracy.
Its rotary axes can be used as the axes of continuous positioning or as interpolated axes for 5-axis machining. Options include tool change, change spindle, workpiece measuring probes, tool control devices, refrigeration systems, fume exhaust swarf. The particular configuration also allows a great ergonomics of the control station, it is possible from both sides, an easy and safe loading / unloading of workpieces and an exceptional visibility of the machining.
